The Centre for Student Development is dedicated to the overall development of all students at McMaster. This includes a commitment to the continual improvement of accessibility for students with disabilities, as stated in the Centre’s Vision and Mission Statements:
Vision Statement:
The Centre for Student Development will make a positive difference in the lives, personal growth and academic success of students, regardless of their background, stage of life, or abilities.
Mission Statement:
The Centre For Student Development facilitates and enhances the academic success and personal growth of students. We do this by:
- Providing support, counselling, instruction, accommodations and accessibility
- Facilitating student development and leadership skills
- Advocating for students on issues related to diversity, educational equity and academic achievement.
Disability related services offers various support services for students with disabilities. We work with full time and part time students, as well as prospective students. Students may have the following disabilities:
- Mobility
- Sensory (e.g. vision and hearing)
- Learning and ADD/ADHD
- Neurological
- Psychological
- Chronic Health
